Demand for glass type screen protector in mobile phones, smart phones, tablets etc., are increasing. Generally, mechanical cutting technique is applied during the cutting of cover glass into chips. However, this induces micro cracks at the edge of the glass substrate, making it difficult to attain sufficient chip strength.

Using our unique chemical treatment technology, NSC developed the chemical cutting technology as well as the production line. We have since started the sales of this development to our valued customers.

From “3Point Bending Test” , NSC’s Chemical Cut glass showed 1.4 times higher bending stress than conventional glass. From “Pressure Resistant Test”, NSC’s Chemical Cut glass showed 3.4 times higher Pressure Resistant than conventional glass.It is often said that glass screen protector started to have chips or crack on its edge even though no critical shock applied. The reason behind is that conventional glass is fabricated by mechanical grinding, creating a lot of “Micro-crack” on the edge. These “Micro-crack” could grow up to chips or cracks after few months usage. NSC’s Chemical Cut glass is applied only chemical to extract the individual screen protector from the large glass substrate with utilizing of chemical etching (melting) effect. Micro-crack" free, clean finished edge can be obtained.
