Since the establishment of the batch type chemical etching (slimming) process for LCD glass substrate in the year 2001, NSC has greatly contributed to the advancement of LCD devices such as mobile phones, tablets, etc.

NSC is highly regarded by LCD panel makers in Japan for our quality and delivery lead time with regards to the construction of high productivity process lines as well as our continuous efforts for improvement. NSC currently holds more than 80 percent of the market share for LCD glass chemical etching business.

With the technical know-how gained from our experience with chemical, surface treatment, panel recycling and batch type chemical etching (slimming), NSC commenced the research and development for the Single plate type chemical etching process for large-sized glass (more than G5) panels in response to market requirements and in the year 2010, established its Single Plate type chemical etching business and we have 100 percent share in this large-size etching business in Japan.

NSC has received positive reviews from customers for our treatment process that has greatly reduced surface dimples (normally caused by dent or micro scratch, etc.) on the surface of the glass.

Batch type chemical etching machine is currently able to process glass substrates of sizes up to G4.5 (730mm * 920mm) to the thickness of 0.3mm.

We would recommend the use of Single Plate chemical etching to customers who requires glass substrate thickness to be below 0.3mm or glass substrate size above G5. Currently, we have achieved G6 size(1500mm x 1850mm) chemical etching line with this method. (To "Line design and installation page")
